Read on to meet the Visionary Vet team and learn more about the people behind the practice.

Meet Our Doctor

Dr. Lindsay Seyer is a Florida native, originally from Fort Myers, and has always dreamed of becoming a veterinarian. She pursued her passion by attending St. George’s University in Grenada for veterinary school, before completing her clinical year at Auburn University. Early on in her veterinary career, Dr. Seyer developed a deep interest in veterinary ophthalmology and enjoyed this area of veterinary practice. The impactful discovery that the eye not only holds the key to vision, but also serves as a window into the overall health of our pets, pushed her to pursue specialization.

To further her expertise in speciality medicine, Dr. Seyer moved to Franklin, Tennessee, where she completed a year-long rotating internship that included a specialized focus on veterinary ophthalmology. This experience allowed her to hone her skills in surgery, critical care, emergency, and internal medicine, building a well-rounded foundation that she uses in her practice today.

From there, Dr. Seyer moved to Starkville, Mississippi, to pursue advanced training in veterinary ophthalmology. She completed a one-year specialty internship followed by a rigorous three-year residency. Throughout her residency, Dr. Seyer sought to deepen her academic knowledge by working toward a Master’s degree, balancing both her clinical training and academic pursuits.

After completing her training, Dr. Seyer earned board certification in veterinary ophthalmology, achieving her long-term goal and solidifying her position as a highly skilled and knowledgeable specialist. Having enjoyed her time in the South, Dr. Seyer has returned to her roots in Southwest Florida to raise her family alongside her husband and two beloved pets. She deeply values the importance of family and is dedicated to providing compassionate, thoughtful care to every patient she treats.
