In-Depth Eye Health Assessment
Eye exams are conducted on both eyes, starting with an external examination and gradually progressing to examine deeper structures within the eye. The exam includes various ophthalmic tests such as the Schirmer tear test, fluorescein staining, and tonometry. The doctor will use a handheld microscope called a slit lamp and perform a fundus exam using indirect ophthalmoscopy. Afterward, the doctor will review the findings with you and provide guidance on the results and any recommended next steps. Client education is a top priority for us, as we believe it’s essential for you to fully understand your pet’s diagnosis and the treatment recommendations provided.
